Mountain Bike Give Away

We had the drawing for the Mountain Bike Give Away today at Noon. A Canadian visitor won it - she will be down to pick it up later today (talk about enthusastic!). Here are some photos of the drawing shot by local photographer Keri Redanz.

Very cool!

Berry Season

It's berry season in Whatcom County. We had fresh local strawberries for a few precious weeks and now, the rasberries are starting to come into production. Plus, we are seeing the first of the cherries and stone fruit from Eastern Washington. A delicious time of year.

New Section in Website

Many people are curious about where their food comes from but have never visited a working farm.

I will be visiting our various food producers in the area and documenting them - last week we visited Larry Stapp of Twin Brook Creamery, watched his cattle being milked and then toured the creamery where the milk is pasturised and bottled. Check out Origins or click on the link above.

New Promotion at the store!

Regular shoppers know about our Seasons Pass promotion in Winter - spend $25 or more and enter a drawing to recieve a free seasons pass to the Mt. Baker Ski Area.

Thinking that we should be also doing something for the summer season, we got this beauty from Fairhaven Bike and Mountain Sport and are offering it with the same deal. Spend $25 or more at the store and you will be entered with the winner being chosen on September 3rd (Labor Day)

Welcome to our new website

This web page is very much a work in progress and will be fleshed out over the next few weeks.

For the History link, I would love to have stories about the history of this site and the other stores that have been here. If you have anything, please get in touch with me sometime...

Some photos of the store

Here are a few photos I took of the store to give you an idea of what we have.
Here is the outside of the store. We are at the intersection of the Mt. Baker Highway (State Route 542) and Silver Lake Road.
